It was an ordinary afternoon, and Lala was busy drawing pictures on the living room floor. She was so focused that she didn’t notice Dad coming in, carrying something big behind his back with a mischievous smile on his face.
“Lala,” Dad called softly, “I have a surprise for you.”
Her ears perked up immediately. “A surprise? For me?” she asked, tilting her head curiously. Dad nodded and stepped aside to reveal a brand-new fancy chair, decorated with bright colors, soft cushions, and a cute bow on the backrest.
Lala’s eyes widened in shock. “Wow! Is that… mine?” she gasped. Dad chuckled and placed the chair right in front of her. “Yes, sweetheart. I thought you deserved a special place to sit, draw, and read your books.”
She ran over, touching the smooth armrests and bouncing excitedly on the cushion. “It’s so soft! And it’s just my size!” she shouted with joy. Dad helped her climb up properly and adjusted the seat so she could sit comfortably.
Lala twirled around, giggling. “I feel like a princess in this chair!” she declared, holding her drawing pad proudly. Dad laughed warmly. “That’s because you are my little princess.”
For the rest of the day, Lala refused to leave her new chair. She ate snacks there, read her storybook, and even invited Mom and Bon to sit beside her while she showed off.
That evening, before bed, she hugged Dad tightly. “Thank you for my chair, Dad. I love it so much!”
Dad kissed her forehead and whispered, “I love seeing you happy, Lala.”
And from that day on, the fancy chair wasn’t just furniture—it became her little throne of joy.
