One morning, while helping Mom in the kitchen, Lala reached for her favorite little bowls—the ones she always used for snacks and desserts. But as she lifted them from the shelf, they slipped from her hands. Crash! The bowls shattered into tiny pieces on the floor.
Lala’s eyes filled with tears. Those bowls weren’t just dishes—they were special to her. She remembered eating pudding, soup, and even fruit from them. Now, they were gone. “Oh no, Mom… my bowls are broken!” she cried, her voice trembling.
Mom quickly swept up the pieces and hugged Lala. “It’s okay, sweetheart. Things break sometimes. What matters is that you didn’t get hurt.”
Still, Lala pouted and whispered, “But I loved those bowls. They were my favorite…”
Later that day, Mom took Lala to the market to choose new ones. Rows and rows of colorful bowls lined the shelves—blue ones, pink ones, patterned ones, even bowls shaped like animals. But instead of feeling excited, Lala frowned. She picked one up, then put it back down. “This one’s nice… but it doesn’t feel the same,” she said softly.
Mom knelt beside her. “It’s hard to say goodbye to something special. But sometimes, new things bring new memories.”
Lala thought for a moment, then her eyes caught a set of bright yellow bowls with little flowers painted around the rim. They looked cheerful, almost as if they were smiling at her. Slowly, a smile spread across her face. “I think… these could be my new favorite.”
Mom laughed gently. “Perfect choice, Lala. Let’s make new memories with them.”
With her new bowls in hand and Mom by her side, Lala’s sadness turned into hope—ready to fill them with love, food, and happy moments.
