The morning sun was bright, and the house buzzed with excitement. Today was the big housewarming party, and Lala couldn’t wait. Mom was busy decorating, so Dad took Lala’s hand and said, “Come on, let’s go to the supermarket. We need food and fruit for the celebration.”
Lala’s eyes lit up. “Yes! I want to help pick everything!”
At the supermarket, Lala grabbed a little basket while Dad pushed the big cart. Their first stop was the fruit section. Lala carefully inspected the shiny apples, bright oranges, and sweet bananas. “These will look so nice on the party table,” she said proudly, placing them into the basket. Dad smiled and added a big watermelon, Lala’s favorite.
Next, they headed to the food aisles. Dad picked out rice, noodles, and vegetables, while Lala insisted on carrying the bread and cookies. “We need something yummy for dessert too!” she giggled.
Everywhere they went, Lala bounced with excitement, pointing out foods she thought the guests would love. She even helped Dad compare prices and check the freshness of the produce. “See, Dad? I’m a smart shopper!” she declared.
At the checkout, Dad let Lala hand the money to the cashier. She felt so grown-up as the clerk handed her the receipt. “Thank you!” Lala chirped politely.
When they got home, Mom clapped her hands happily at the sight of all the bags. “Great teamwork!” she praised. Lala puffed up with pride. “We bought everything! The party will be perfect!”
That evening, as the house filled with laughter, delicious food, and the aroma of fresh fruit, Lala knew she had played an important part in making the housewarming special.
