It was a bright afternoon, and Lala was running happily around the garden. She chased butterflies, climbed over little rocks, and giggled as the wind brushed against her face. But in her excitement, she tripped over a small stone and tumbled to the ground.
“Ouch!” Lala cried, holding her knee. A tiny scratch appeared, and tears quickly filled her eyes. Hearing her cry, Dad rushed out of the house, his face full of worry. “Lala! What happened?” he asked as he knelt beside her.
Through her sobs, she pointed at her scraped knee. Dad’s heart softened. He gently picked her up and carried her inside, whispering, “Don’t worry, my little one. Dad will take care of you.”
He carefully washed her wound with warm water, blowing softly to ease the sting. Lala winced but tried to be brave. “It hurts, Dad…” she whispered. Dad kissed her forehead and said gently, “I know, sweetheart. But just a little medicine and you’ll feel much better.”
From the first-aid box, Dad applied soothing ointment to the scratch and then placed a colorful bandage with cute animal prints on it. “There,” he said with a smile. “Now your knee is protected.”
Lala sniffled, looking at the bandage. “It’s cute… like me?” she asked shyly. Dad laughed softly. “Exactly like you—strong and brave.”
With her tears gone, Lala hugged Dad tightly. “Thank you for taking care of me!” she said. Dad hugged her back, relieved that it wasn’t serious.
That evening, as Lala rested with her bandaged knee, she realized that even small accidents couldn’t scare her as long as Dad was there with love and care.
