Lala and her family secretly prepare to celebrate their birthday!

The house was unusually busy, but Lala didn’t notice. She thought it was just an ordinary day, while Mom, Dad, and Bon exchanged secret smiles behind her back. Tomorrow was Lala’s birthday, and the family had been planning a surprise celebration.

While Lala played with her toys, Mom quietly baked a cake in the kitchen. She mixed flour, sugar, and eggs, then added Lala’s favorite flavor—coconut with a hint of chocolate. Bon helped by sneaking sprinkles into the frosting, though he couldn’t resist tasting some with his finger. “Shh, don’t tell Lala!” Mom whispered.

Meanwhile, Dad decorated the living room. He blew up colorful balloons and hung shiny streamers across the walls. He even set up a banner that read, “Happy Birthday, Lala!”

Lala occasionally peeked into the kitchen and asked, “What are you all doing?” Mom quickly replied, “Oh, just cooking dinner.” Bon giggled but covered his mouth before he gave anything away.

When night came, the family gathered quietly. “Remember,” Mom whispered, “tomorrow morning we’ll surprise her!”

The next day, as Lala rubbed her sleepy eyes and walked into the living room, she froze. Balloons, a big cake, and her smiling family were all waiting. “Surprise! Happy Birthday, Lala!” they shouted.

Her mouth opened wide in shock, then curved into the biggest smile. “You did all this… for me?” she asked, her voice full of joy.

Mom hugged her tightly. “Of course, sweetheart. You’re our shining star.”

Bon handed her a small gift box. Inside was a handmade card covered with hearts and drawings. Lala’s eyes sparkled with tears of happiness.

The day turned into laughter, cake, and warm hugs—proof that the best birthdays aren’t just about surprises, but about the love of family.
