Lala had been feeling unwell all morning. Her little body was tired, and she could barely muster a smile. Seeing her daughter so weak, Mom quickly took charge, determined to make Lala feel better.
First, Mom prepared a warm herbal drink. The aroma filled the kitchen, soothing Lala’s senses even before she took a sip. “Drink slowly, sweetheart,” Mom said softly. Lala followed her instructions carefully, feeling the warmth spread through her chest and bring comfort.
Next, Mom prepared a cozy spot on the sofa with soft blankets and Lala’s favorite pillow. “Rest here while I get everything ready for you,” Mom said. Lala nestled into the blankets, her eyelids growing heavy, but feeling safe with Mom nearby.
Mom didn’t stop there. She cooked a light, nutritious meal—soft rice porridge with bits of chicken and vegetables—just the way Lala liked it. The smell alone made Lala’s stomach rumble. When Mom placed the bowl in front of her, Lala took a small bite, then another. Each mouthful made her feel stronger and more energetic.
Throughout the day, Mom stayed by her side, checking Lala’s temperature, reading her favorite storybooks, and gently stroking her hair. Lala’s frown slowly turned into a smile, her cheeks regaining color.
By evening, Lala was much better. She could sit up, laugh, and even play a little. Hugging Mom tightly, she whispered, “Thank you for taking such good care of me.”
Mom smiled, brushing Lala’s hair back. “That’s what moms are for, my little one. Seeing you happy and healthy is the best reward.”
Lala beamed, feeling safe, loved, and completely restored—proof that Mom’s special care worked wonders.
