One bright afternoon, Lala ran into the kitchen with a big grin. “Mom! Let’s make a new kind of cake today—something no one has ever tasted before!” Mom laughed at her daughter’s enthusiasm. “Alright, little chef, but we’ll need to be careful.”
Careful was not exactly Lala’s style. She started tossing ingredients onto the counter: flour, sugar, eggs, milk—and then, out of nowhere—peanuts, honey, and even a little banana. Mom raised her eyebrows. “Banana in a cake? Are you sure?” Lala nodded proudly. “It’ll be our secret recipe!”
Mixing the batter quickly turned into chaos. Flour puffed into the air, covering Lala’s face like snow. Mom tried to stir, but the spoon nearly got stuck in the thick mixture. To fix it, Lala poured in too much milk, and suddenly the batter sloshed like soup. Both of them froze—then burst into laughter.
They kept adjusting: more flour, more sugar, another egg. The kitchen looked like a mini battlefield, with splatters on the walls and even a little on Siba the cat, who watched with wide eyes.
Finally, they poured the unusual batter into a pan and slid it into the oven. When the timer rang, Lala jumped to open the door. The cake looked… strange. A little lopsided, a bit cracked, and definitely not like the picture in the recipe book.
Mom took a bite first and smiled. “It tastes funny… but actually delicious!” Lala clapped her hands. “See, Mom! Our cake is unique!”
Though their kitchen was a mess, both laughed until their stomachs hurt. That day, their “troubled” cake became the most unforgettable recipe—a sweet memory of fun, mistakes, and love.
