One bright morning in the garden, Lala noticed something special hanging from the banana tree. For weeks, she had been watching the bunch of bananas grow—first small and green, then slowly turning golden yellow. Today, they looked perfect.
Her eyes sparkled with excitement. “Finally! The bananas are ripe!” she said, clapping her hands. She ran to Mom, who was busy watering the flowers. “Mom, can we pick them now?”
Mom chuckled. “Go ahead, Lala. You’ve been waiting patiently. Just be careful.”
Lala grabbed a little basket and hurried back to the tree. She reached up on her tiptoes and carefully twisted off one banana. The peel came away easily, revealing soft, sweet fruit inside. The aroma was heavenly.
She took a big bite, and her face lit up with joy. “Mmm… so sweet! So delicious!” she said with her mouth full. The taste was worth all the waiting.
After finishing one, she placed a few more ripe bananas into her basket to share. “Mom will love these,” she thought proudly. Back inside, she handed one to Mom, who smiled warmly. “Thank you, Lala. You always think of others.”
Together, they enjoyed the bananas, laughing and chatting. Lala felt proud—she had waited for the right moment, and it had made the fruit taste even better.
As she licked her fingers, she looked back at the tree. “Next time, I’ll wait patiently again. Good things really do come when the time is right.”
Mom nodded. “Exactly, Lala. Patience makes life sweeter—just like bananas.”
That evening, Lala went to bed with a happy tummy and an even happier heart, already dreaming of her next harvest.
