Lala was taken to the hospital by Mom for a general check up and x ray!

The morning started like any other, but today Mom told Lala, “We’re going to the hospital for your check-up.” Lala tilted her head. “Am I sick?” she asked. Mom smiled gently. “No, sweetheart. We just need to make sure you’re healthy.”

They arrived at the bright, clean hospital. Nurses in blue uniforms greeted them warmly and handed Lala a small card with her name on it. Lala held it like a treasure as they waited. She looked around curiously, watching other children playing in the waiting area.

When it was her turn, a friendly doctor listened to her heartbeat, checked her eyes, ears, and throat, and even measured her height. “You’ve grown taller since last time!” the doctor said, making Lala grin proudly.

Next, the nurse explained they needed to take an X-ray. “It’s like taking a photo of your bones,” she said. Lala’s eyes widened. “Will it hurt?” The nurse shook her head. “Not at all—just stand still and smile for the camera!”

Inside the X-ray room, Lala stood in front of a big machine. The technician gently positioned her, then stepped aside. There was a soft click, and it was done. No pain, just a little excitement.

Afterward, Mom gave her a warm hug. “See? That wasn’t so bad.” They sat together as the doctor reviewed the results, reassuring them everything looked healthy and normal.

On the way home, Mom treated Lala to her favorite fruit smoothie as a reward for being so brave. Lala sipped happily, feeling proud of herself. She now understood that check-ups weren’t scary—they were a way to keep her strong and healthy.

That night, Lala told herself she’d be just as brave next time, no matter what.
