It was a bright Sunday morning when Mom told Lala, “Get dressed, we’re going somewhere special.” Lala was curious but didn’t ask too many questions—Mom loved surprises, and Lala didn’t want to spoil it.
They drove out of the city, passing rice fields, small shops, and quiet villages. The air smelled fresh, and the sound of birds chirping followed them. Finally, the car stopped in front of a charming little gate decorated with colorful flowers.
“Where are we?” Lala asked, stepping out.
Mom just smiled and took her hand. “Come and see.”
They walked down a stone path until a beautiful house appeared. It had white walls, a red roof, and a small garden full of roses and marigolds. The windows sparkled in the sunlight. Lala gasped. “Wow, this place is so pretty!”
Mom handed her a small envelope. Inside was a shiny new house key. “Lala,” she said softly, “this is your new home.”
Lala’s eyes widened. “What? Our house?!”
Mom nodded. “I’ve been saving for years to give us a better life. I wanted you to have a place where you feel safe, happy, and loved.”
Overwhelmed, Lala hugged her mom tightly. They walked through the house together—there was a cozy living room, a bright kitchen, and a little bedroom just for Lala, painted in her favorite pastel colors.
They spent the rest of the day exploring the garden, planting flowers, and imagining all the happy moments they would share in their new home.
As the sun set, Lala sat on the porch, smiling. It wasn’t just the beauty of the house that made her heart feel warm—it was knowing that every wall and corner was filled with her mom’s love.
