Lala helps Mom prepare things for the full moon ceremony!

The sun was still rising when Lala woke up to the delicious smell of incense and fresh flowers. Today was special—it was the full moon ceremony, a time for prayers, offerings, and family blessings. Lala ran to the kitchen, where her mom was already busy arranging fruits and lighting candles.

“Good morning, sleepyhead!” Mom said with a smile. “Come help me—we have so much to do before the moon rises tonight.”

Lala washed her hands and got to work. First, she carefully wiped down the altar table until it shone. Mom handed her a basket of fresh bananas, pomelos, and mangos. Lala arranged them neatly, making sure the colors looked beautiful together.

Next came the flowers—bright marigolds, lotus blossoms, and jasmine. Lala tied them into small garlands while her mom prepared the incense sticks. The scent filled the air, making the whole house feel calm and sacred.

By afternoon, they started preparing food for the offering: sticky rice, grilled fish, and sweet coconut desserts wrapped in banana leaves. Lala’s favorite job was folding the banana leaves into tiny pouches—it felt like making little green presents for the moon.

As the sun set, the altar was complete—glowing candles, colorful fruits, golden flowers, and plates of steaming food. Mom looked at it and nodded in satisfaction.

When the full moon finally appeared, bright and round in the night sky, Lala stood beside her mom, holding an incense stick. Together, they made their wishes in silence. The warm night air carried the scent of flowers and food, and the soft glow of the moon made everything feel magical.

Lala smiled, knowing she had helped make this ceremony special. It wasn’t just about tradition—it was about love, care, and family.
