After a long afternoon of running around the garden, chasing butterflies, and rolling on the soft grass, Lala suddenly stopped and scratched her arm.
“Hmm… why am I so itchy?” she wondered, looking down at the little bits of grass and dust stuck to her skin. Her hair was messy, her clothes had dirt stains, and a light sweat made her feel sticky all over.
She tried shaking it off, but the itchiness only got worse. That’s when a brilliant idea popped into her head—swimming!
With a big smile, Lala ran to Mom. “Mom! Can I go swimming, please?” she asked, hopping up and down. Mom laughed, seeing her little adventurer covered in nature’s “souvenirs,” and agreed right away.
Soon, Lala was in her bright swimsuit, standing at the edge of the pool. The cool blue water sparkled in the sunlight, inviting her in. Without hesitation, she jumped—splash!
The moment she hit the water, the itchy, sticky feeling began to disappear. The coolness wrapped around her like a refreshing hug, washing away the dirt, sweat, and discomfort. Lala kicked her legs, floated on her back, and even practiced her “super starfish” pose.
She swam round and round, giggling as the water tickled her skin. Bon and Ni joined her later, turning it into a mini pool party filled with laughter and splashes.
When she finally climbed out, wrapped in a fluffy towel, she felt fresh, clean, and happy again. The itchiness was gone, replaced with a wonderful lightness.
As the sun began to set, Lala whispered to herself, “Swimming really is the best cure after a long, messy day of fun!”
And from that day on, it became her favorite after-play ritual.
