After a joyful afternoon of games, laughter, and birthday cake, Lala was in heaven. Surrounded by giggling cousins, soft hugs, and endless playtime, she felt like the star of the party. Every child had taken a turn feeding her treats, rubbing her belly, or tying cute bows in her fur. Lala was glowing with happiness.
But as the sun began to set, CEO Kien gently picked her up and said, “Okay, Lala, it’s time to go home now.”
Lala froze.
Her eyes widened. Her tail dropped slightly. And then—drama mode activated.
She let out a long, soft whine and turned her head away from Kien, refusing to look at him. As he tried to carry her, she gently squirmed and kicked her legs like a toddler refusing bedtime.
“Nooo!” her eyes seemed to say.
The children burst out laughing. “She doesn’t want to leave!” one cousin shouted.
“She wants to sleep over with us!” another giggled.
Kien chuckled but stood firm—“She needs to rest. She played too much today.” But Lala wasn’t done. As soon as he set her down to say goodbye, she darted right back into the play area and flopped down between two children, looking up with the cutest, most innocent face imaginable.
The kids clapped and cheered, while Kien sighed in defeat.
“Okay, five more minutes,” he said, smiling.
Lala’s tail wagged furiously. Victory!
She got to enjoy a few more cuddles, a final game of hide and seek, and one more belly rub before finally curling up in Kien’s arms, tired but satisfied.
Because when you’re as loved as Lala, even a little protest is just part of the charm.
