Lala burst into happy emotions when Mom came to give lucky money!

It was the first day of the Lunar New Year, and the house was filled with festive colors, sweet treats, and the sound of laughter. Lala was dressed in her traditional red dress, complete with shiny shoes and two tiny bows in her hair. She looked absolutely adorable—but her eyes were quietly scanning the doorway, waiting for someone very special.

Suddenly, the door creaked open. “Mommy!” Lala squealed as her mom stepped in, smiling brightly and holding a small red envelope in her hand.

Lala’s eyes lit up like fireworks. She rushed into her mother’s arms and hugged her tightly. “I missed you so much, Mommy!” she said with a huge grin.

Mom lifted her up and gave her a big kiss on the cheek. “I missed you too, my little sweetheart. And guess what I brought you?”

She held out the bright red envelope—lì xì, or lucky money. Lala gasped in delight. “For me?”

“Yes,” Mom smiled. “For being such a good girl all year.”

Lala took the envelope carefully, holding it like a treasure. She danced around the room, waving it in the air, shouting, “I got lucky money! I got lucky money!” Her face was glowing with excitement, and she couldn’t stop smiling.

Everyone in the house laughed along with her, touched by her innocent joy. Mom sat her down and explained the meaning of the gift—that it wasn’t just about money, but a wish for health, happiness, and good luck in the coming year.

Lala listened with wide eyes, then hugged the envelope tightly. “I will save it forever!” she declared.

The room was filled with warmth—not just from the holiday celebration, but from the deep love between a child and her mother. For Lala, this little red envelope meant the world—not for what was inside, but because it came from the person she loved most.
