Lala was curious about the strange fruits that Thuy bought at the market!

One sunny morning, Thuy returned from the local market with a basket full of colorful and unusual fruits. As she walked through the door, Lala’s eyes lit up with excitement. She quickly scampered over, her tail swishing and nose twitching. “What’s that, Mom? What did you bring?” she asked eagerly.

Thuy smiled, knowing Lala’s curiosity was about to take over. She placed the basket on the table and slowly started taking out the fruits. There were round, spiky rambutans, smooth dragon fruits with pink skin, tiny star fruits that looked like golden stars when sliced, and a big green jackfruit that smelled sweet but strange.

Lala tilted her head, staring wide-eyed. “Are they yummy? Why do they look so funny?” she asked, reaching a small hand toward the dragon fruit.

Thuy gently handed her a slice of each. “You can try them all, but remember—don’t judge them by how they look!”

Lala first bit into the rambutan, and her eyes widened with delight. “So juicy!” she exclaimed. Then she nibbled on the dragon fruit and laughed when she saw the black seeds inside. “It looks like polka dots!”

When she tasted the jackfruit, her nose scrunched up. “Hmm, weird smell… but sweet inside!” she said, giggling.

The last one was the star fruit. Thuy cut it into beautiful slices and placed them on a plate like decorations. “They look like stars!” Lala shouted in awe. She bit into one and gave a big thumbs-up.

As they finished tasting each fruit, Lala clapped her hands. “Thank you, Mom! I love fruit adventures!” she said joyfully.

Thuy patted her head and replied, “I’m glad you tried something new today, Lala. Being curious is a good thing!”

That day, Lala not only filled her tummy but also filled her heart with excitement and discovery. She even asked if they could go to the market together next time to pick fruits as a team.
