Lala gets curious about the wine bottle and gets into trouble

It was a peaceful afternoon at home, and everything seemed quiet — almost too quiet. Thuy was busy preparing lunch in the kitchen while little Lala played nearby with her toys. But as soon as Thuy turned her back for a moment, Lala’s curious eyes caught sight of something shiny and unfamiliar on the table: a tall, elegant wine bottle that had been left there after a recent family gathering.

Intrigued by its shape and shimmering glass, Lala tiptoed over to get a closer look. “What’s this?” she whispered to herself, eyes wide with wonder. The bottle had a deep red liquid inside, and the cork on top looked interesting. Lala gave it a little shake and giggled at the sound. But her curiosity didn’t stop there.

She tried to lift the bottle with her tiny hands. It was heavier than she expected, and before she could steady it — crash! The bottle slipped and tumbled off the table, hitting the floor with a loud smash. Red liquid splashed across the tiles like a scene from a movie, and glass shards scattered in every direction.

Startled and frightened, Lala froze in place. Thuy rushed in from the kitchen, her heart pounding. “Lala!” she cried, immediately checking to see if she was hurt. Luckily, Lala was standing just far enough to avoid the glass. But her eyes welled up with tears — not from pain, but from guilt.

“I’m sorry, Thuy… I just wanted to see what it was,” Lala sniffled.

Thuy gently picked her up and wiped her cheeks. “It’s okay, my dear. I know you were just curious. But some things, like wine bottles, aren’t for kids to touch. Next time, just ask me, okay?”

Lala nodded quietly.

That day, Lala learned an important lesson: curiosity is good — but safety and asking adults first is even better. And Thuy? She was just grateful Lala was safe and sound.
