Today started out like any other sunny morning for little Lala. She woke up early, full of excitement and energy, ready to put on her favorite outfit and go out to play in the yard. But when she opened her small closet, her bright smile quickly faded. All her favorite clothes were gone — dirty, wrinkled, and lying in the laundry basket. Her mood instantly shifted.
Lala sat by the laundry basket, picking up each piece of clothing and sighing dramatically. Her favorite dress had a juice stain, her playful shirt still smelled like her last adventure in the garden, and her comfy pants were just too muddy to wear. She looked around, hoping to see Mom coming with clean clothes, but the house was quiet. Mom was busy in the kitchen and hadn’t had time for laundry yet.
Feeling disappointed and forgotten, Lala sat on the couch with her arms crossed, her lower lip pouting. “Why hasn’t Mom done my laundry?” she thought, feeling a little heartbroken. She didn’t understand how something as simple as clean clothes could suddenly make her whole day feel gray. She missed the sweet smell of freshly washed shirts and the joy of putting on clean socks to jump around the house.
Seeing Lala sitting quietly and not her usual playful self, Mom came over and asked what was wrong. Lala looked up with teary eyes and whispered, “I have nothing clean to wear…” Mom smiled gently and hugged her, explaining she’d been busy but promised to wash her clothes right away.
Together, they gathered the laundry and put it in the washing machine. Lala even got to press the buttons and add a bit of detergent. It turned into a fun little task they did together, and Lala’s mood brightened immediately.
Later, when the clothes were clean and warm, Mom helped Lala pick out her favorite dress. As she twirled around happily, Lala realized that even a sad morning could turn into a beautiful day — especially with Mom by her side.
