Lala was over the moon with excitement when she received a surprise package filled with brand-new clothes. Each piece was colorful, stylish, and full of personality—just like her! There was a frilly pink dress, a pair of denim overalls with flower patches, and a tiny sunhat with a ribbon that made her giggle with joy. She couldn’t wait to try everything on and twirl in front of the mirror.
However, as Lala began to put on the outfits, her excitement quickly turned into confusion. The dress kept slipping off her shoulders, the pants were so long they covered her feet, and the sleeves nearly reached the floor! Even the adorable hat seemed to wobble right over her eyes.
Lala looked at herself in the mirror, her arms flailing as she tried to hold everything in place. It was a funny sight, and even Lala had to laugh—but deep down, she felt a little disappointed. She loved her new clothes, but they were just too big for her tiny frame.
She quickly ran to find Thuy, her trusted friend and caretaker, tugging on her hand and pointing to her oversized outfit with a worried face. Thuy smiled gently, already understanding what needed to be done.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart,” Thuy said warmly, “we’ll fix them so they fit you perfectly.”
With scissors, thread, and a sewing kit, Thuy got to work while Lala watched in awe. They turned the too-long pants into cute shorts, added ribbons to tighten the sleeves, and even adjusted the hat so it fit snugly. Lala couldn’t stop smiling as she tried on the newly fitted outfits—she looked fabulous and felt even better knowing Thuy had helped her.
That day, Lala learned that sometimes things don’t fit quite right at first, but with a little help and love, they can be made just for you. She strutted around proudly, modeling each outfit with a confidence only Lala could have!
