The morning sun had barely risen when Lala followed Mom to Bon’s Beauty Spa, a place always filled with the soft sound of music, the scent of flowers, and customers coming in for relaxation. Today was special—Lala had promised to help Mom all day.
As soon as they arrived, Lala tied on a little apron that looked almost too big for her. “I’m ready, Mom!” she said proudly.
Her first task was arranging fresh flowers in small vases around the spa. She carefully placed jasmine and roses on each table, making the rooms look bright and welcoming. Next, she helped prepare warm towels, folding them neatly into baskets.
The spa quickly grew busy. Some customers came for facials, others for massages or hair treatments. Lala watched with wide eyes as Mom worked skillfully, always smiling and speaking kindly. Whenever someone needed water or tea, Lala was quick to bring it, bowing politely as she served. The customers couldn’t help but smile at her enthusiasm.
During the afternoon, Bon, the spa’s owner, gave Lala a gentle task—handing out little soaps wrapped in ribbons to each customer as they left. “Thank you for visiting!” Lala said shyly, her voice soft but sincere.
By evening, Lala was tired but happy. The towels were folded, the flowers replaced, and the spa was quiet again. Mom hugged her. “You were such a big help today. I’m proud of you.”
Lala grinned, her eyes sparkling. “It was fun! Maybe tomorrow I can learn how to mix the herbal oils?”
Mom laughed softly. “One step at a time, my little helper.”
As they walked home under the evening sky, Lala felt proud of her busy day. Helping at the beauty spa wasn’t just work—it was a memory she would treasure forever.
