Lala suddenly had a high fever and stopped eating, making Mom worried!

It all started in the early afternoon. Lala, who was usually full of energy and laughter, was lying quietly on the sofa, her cheeks flushed. Mom noticed right away—this wasn’t like her lively little girl at all.

“Lala, are you okay?” Mom asked softly, touching her forehead. The warmth under her hand made her heart skip a beat. It wasn’t just warm—it was hot.

Mom quickly grabbed the thermometer. 38.9°C. Her smile faded, replaced by worry.

“Sweetheart, you have a fever,” Mom said, trying to keep her voice calm. She brought water and some light food, but Lala shook her head and whispered, “I don’t want to eat… I’m tired.”

The sight broke Mom’s heart. Lala almost never refused food, and seeing her without an appetite meant something was really wrong.

Mom gently wiped her forehead with a cool, damp towel, speaking softly to comfort her. She stayed by Lala’s side, checking her temperature regularly, and made sure she sipped warm water.

When evening came, Mom decided to take her to the clinic. The doctor explained it might be a seasonal virus and advised rest, hydration, and medicine. Even though the doctor’s words were reassuring, Mom’s eyes still showed concern.

That night, Mom barely slept, keeping watch beside Lala, adjusting the blanket, and feeling her forehead every so often. She whispered little stories and hummed lullabies, hoping they would help her drift into a peaceful sleep.

By morning, Lala opened her eyes and gave Mom a faint smile. She was still weak, but that little smile felt like the first ray of sunshine after a storm.

Mom knew her little girl was strong, and with love and care, she would soon be running around again.
