Lala had been restless all day. She scratched at her fur more than usual, her little paws moving over her back and sides as she tried to ease the itch. The discomfort was clear in her eyes, and she seemed unsettled—no amount of play or naps helped.
Mom Lan Anh noticed right away.
“Poor Lala,” she said softly, kneeling beside her. “Are you feeling itchy, baby?”
Lala looked up, then gave a small whimper, rubbing against Mom’s hand. It was like she was saying, Please help me.
Without hesitation, Lan Anh gathered warm water and prepared a gentle bath with soothing shampoo made especially for sensitive skin. She called Lala softly, and with a few encouraging words, helped her into the tub.
At first, Lala hesitated, but soon she realized Mom was there to take care of her. The warm water and gentle strokes soothed her skin, washing away whatever had caused the itchiness.
Lan Anh carefully cleaned every spot, paying special attention to the areas Lala scratched the most. She whispered kind words, calming Lala’s nerves.
After the bath, Lala was wrapped in a fluffy towel and given a little massage with a special lotion to protect her skin and keep it soft. She leaned into Mom’s touch, eyes closing in relief.
“It’s okay, sweet girl,” Lan Anh said, smiling gently. “You’ll feel better soon.”
That night, Lala curled up peacefully, finally comfortable and calm.
Sometimes, when discomfort strikes, all it takes is a loving touch and a little extra care to make everything right again.
