It was a hot afternoon, and little Lala was feeling very itchy. Her tiny hands kept scratching her arms and legs, and she looked uncomfortable. Thuy noticed and gently asked, “Lala, what’s wrong?” But Lala didn’t want to worry anyone, so she just shook her head and smiled, pretending everything was fine.
As the itching got worse, Lala remembered the cool blue swimming pool outside. “Maybe the water will make me feel better!” she thought. With that idea in her head, she tiptoed away quietly while Thuy was in the kitchen preparing lunch.
Lala grabbed her little swimming ball and carefully snuck out the back door. She didn’t want Thuy to stop her or tell her to wait. When she reached the pool, her eyes lit up with joy. She dipped one toe in, then jumped in with a happy splash!
The cool water felt amazing! Lala giggled as she floated around with her swimming ball, forgetting all about the itchiness. She splashed water, twirled in circles, and even sang a little song to herself. It was her secret adventure, and she loved every second of it.
Meanwhile, Thuy suddenly noticed that the house was too quiet. “Where’s Lala?” she wondered, looking around. When she saw the back door slightly open, she ran outside and spotted Lala happily swimming. At first, Thuy was a bit worried. “Lala! You can’t go swimming alone!” she called out.
Lala looked up with wide eyes and slowly paddled to the edge. “I was itchy… and the water helped,” she said softly. Thuy smiled and wrapped her in a towel. “Next time, just tell me. I’ll help you,” she said gently.
After checking her skin, Thuy gave Lala some soothing lotion and promised to stay by her side. That day, Lala learned it’s always better to ask for help—but she also got a splashy, silly memory she’d never forget
